What People Are Saying

One of my best memories of being a CASA was getting my CASA child together with his siblings through the help of the other CASAs. I credit CASA for being there so that Child Protective Services could sanction the visits and help coordinate with the foster families.  We were lucky to have a tireless social worker on the case.

Foster children see so many therapists, social workers, foster parents, and others that come and go. There needs to be at least one person who is permanent and has the child's best interest at heart.

There are many layers to being a CASA Volunteer. My CASA children are very vocal about what they want, and I help them sort through it all and present it to the court. I also try hard to make sure they get the resources they need like extra tutoring or the chance to be involved in sports.

MAKING A WORLD OF IMPACT

Committed, highly-trained volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are appointed by a judge to an individual child’s case, to act and advocate for the child’s best interests in court and in all aspects of their life, making a positive difference and giving them an opportunity to thrive. Through an intentional and culturally responsive lens, we train committed, consistent and caring adults who can change the trajectory of a child’s life through strengths-based advocacy and life-affirming connections.
