Randee Sandlin, Esq. – President

Randee Sandlin is currently an associate in the law firm of Dreyer Babich Buccola Callaham & Wood, LLP, where she exclusively represents injured victims in personal injury litigation. Ms. Sandlin is an honors graduate of UC Santa Barbara and McGeorge School of Law.

Randee has always had a passion for the well being of children, especially those who are perpetually under serviced. Randee’s volunteer service began in Santa Barbara where she spent her time tutoring bilingual children and served as a lung health educator for the American Lung Association. Randee has also worked with River Oaks Center for Children in Sacramento where she gained first hand exposure to the emotional and behavioral challenges experienced by children who have been abused and neglected.

David Chambers – Vice President

David Chambers has been in the restaurant industry for 25 years and has guided many concepts to success. He is currently the general manager at Suede Blue in Roseville, California. He has participated in assisting numerous charitable organizations in event planning and fund raising. Dave currently resides in Roseville with his 4 wonderful children who keep him very active and involved in the community.

Mary Bellefleur, BS, MA – Treasurer

Mary has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Education. She enjoyed a successful career at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) as the director of Marketing and Program Development where she worked closely with the private and public sectors and schools in the CSUS 13 county service area, as well as the off site campus in Rocklin, California. Now retired from CSUS, Mary is currently a Real Estate agent with Coldwell Banker.

Mary is actively involved with her two daughters and two grandchildren. With over thirty years of success in the business and education sectors. Mary’s enthusiasm for children brings a high level of commitment, experience and professionalism to the Sacramento Court Appointed Special Advocate Program, Inc., (CASA) Board of Directors.

Matthew Hooper, Esq. – Secretary

Matthew Hooper is an attorney with Bullivant Houser Bailey in Sacramento, CA. Matt graduated from McGeorge School of Law with Great Distinction, Order of the Coif, Traynor Society. Matt has served as CEO of a million-dollar technology corporation and has owned his own small business. He has worked at the White House and has produced an award-winning feature film.

Matt has served as a Senator at Cal State University, Northridge, where he was voted “Senator of the Year” for his commitment to community services. Matt also served as Director of Public Relations for Toolshed, a non-profit organization in Los Angeles dedicated to providing alternatives to high-risk youth.

Brent Boothby, JD, MBA

Brent Boothby, is the Executive Director of the Maria Montessori Charter Academy, a non-profit public charter elementary school serving approximately 250 students in Rocklin, California. In this capacity, Brent is responsible for the school’s operations, budget, personnel and overall operation of the program. During his tenure at M.M.C.A., he has secured more than $5 million dollars in grants and donations for the school. Prior to M.M.C.A., Brent’s prior work experience included a strategic consulting position with an investment banking firm and a Graduate Teaching Fellowship at the University of Oregon. Brent’s volunteer experience includes working with the Oregon Disability Sports Foundation (an affiliate of the Special Olympics), the Y.M.C.A., Little League and 1.5 years as a C.A.S.A. volunteer in Eugene, Oregon.

Dr. Abdon Manaloto, DDS

Abdon Manaloto is a dentist in the Sacramento area, and is currently a partner in a dental group with offices in Roseville and Lincoln. Abdon is a member of the Sacramento District Dental Society which provides free dental care to youth in our community through the “Smiles for Kids” program, which has served as a model for similar programs throughout the country.

Abdon also assists the Roseville school district in administering free dental screenings for incoming kindergarten children to help bridge the gap between access to dental care and no access. Abdon has previously worked with the Child Abuse Prevention Council, and as a board member for Sacramento CASA, Abdon hopes to share his skills, experience, and enthusiasm to improve the lives of foster children.

John McIntyre, MBA

John McIntyre has more then 25 years in nonprofit development and administration, primarily in higher education. For the last decade, McIntyre has served as an Assistant Dean at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where his responsibilities have included marketing, communications, and media relations, as well as fundraising, grant-writing, project development, and planning of major events. Prior to his arrival at Pacific McGeorge, he served in related capacities at University of California, Irvine, and at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. McIntyre has degrees from University of Maryland, UC San Diego, and National University and a certificate in Planned Giving from CSU Long Beach.

Benush Venugopal, MBA, PMP

Benush is a Senior Manager with Deloitte. He specializes in implementing complex computer systems and was instrumental in delivering a number of award winning and successful technology projects. Benush is active in the Child Welfare Community with speaking assignments at National Child Welfare technology events and conferences. He is passionate about programs that support vulnerable children and has led a number of fund raising events to raise dollars to support at-risk kids.

Benush holds a masters degree in economics, an MBA, and is a certified Project Management Professional. He lives in Sacramento with his wife and two daughters.

Daniel A. King, Esq.

Daniel graduated valedictorian from the UOP McGeorge School of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif, the Traynor Society, the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi and the UOP McGeorge Dean’s Council.  Daniel runs his own independent law firm focusing on real estate, estate planning, and civil litigation throughout Northern California.

Daniel previously served as President of CASA Sacramento and has volunteered for non-profits serving children, including the Special Olympics, Little League, and CASA for the past 15 years.  In his prior career as a police officer, Daniel worked with children facing problems from narcotics addiction to victimization.  As an officer, Daniel was awarded a unit citation and two letters of commendation for outstanding police work.

Donna Sauter, CPA

Donna Sauter is currently the Managing Director of Lead Tax with Deloitte in Sacramento. She has more than 18 years of income tax specialty experience serving many privately held and publicly traded clients in the Greater Sacramento and Bay Areas.  Donna has volunteered with many not-for-profit organizations including currently serving on the finance committee for WEAVE.  Prior services include Lilliput Children’s Services, American Society of Women Accountants and various other local organizations. 

She received her B.A. in Accounting degree from California State University, Sacramento and her Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University.  She is a member of both the AICPA and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.  She lives in the Sacramento area and has raised two boys. Her experiences as a mother has inspired her  passion for helping abused and neglected children.

Carol Noreen, Esq. – Executive Director

Carol is a graduate of UC Davis and University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. As an attorney, she has practiced law in both the public and private sectors, with an emphasis in insurance and employment litigation. Her volunteer service includes working with Laubach Literacy, the SPCA and 3 years as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate. Her concern for children brought her to CASA and she is committed to focusing our efforts in the areas of permanency, educational advocacy and preparing youth for emancipation and life beyond foster care.
